This course takes place throughout the year, except during the first half of January and the second half of July. The course lasts a minimum of four weeks and may be extended at the discretion of the student.
The goal of this program is to engage the students and help them understand the reality of public health in Brazil. For this reason the student will conduct a survey of the most common diseases, including zica virus, in local communities, prepare and conduct prevention workshops and produce a final report, listing the difficulties faced by these communities when they need to access the public health system.
